I just got a new iPad (3rd Gen) to replace my original iPad and I wanted a very protective case for it. I had an OtterBox Defender case on my original iPad and loved it. My original iPad still looked brand new thanks to the OtterBox (and a screen protector) and I wanted the same protection for my new one. I read the reviews of the OtterBox Defender case for the iPad 2 and wasn't too optimistic. It seemed to be hit or miss whether you got a good one or one that would fall apart on you. I'm happy to say that either they improved the quality in the new one or I just got lucky.

When I first opened it, I was a bit confused as to how to get it apart so I could put it on my iPad. There are picture directions on the box (no written instructions), but they are vague so I had to work a bit get it taken apart. The silicone part is more firm (not as pliable or flexible) than the one for the original iPad and I think I prefer it. The hard case snaps together at a few points where the...

I talked to an Otterbox rep about the screen taking away from the New IPAD's retina display. He said the plastic from the screen can be removed from its frame. Its only attached with a mild adhesive. Then you can have your own screen protector but on (one of those shields that adhear to your IPAD). Then put the frame over that. Granted for $90 they should of provided a that as an option in the package, but this is a very protective case that will work well I believe. Removing the screen Otterbox said will not void the warranty.

First thing I cleaned the Ipad screen and the screen protector and looked at them both in the light making sure there was no prints or lint on either. I just used windex and a paper towel. Then assembled it. The screen looks beautiful. Games, video's and everything else looks wonderful. I can't tell I'm even looking thru a screen protector. I can't understand why so many other reviewers are unimpressed with the screen protector. Overall protection seems pretty good. My nine year old son can grab this anytime he wants now without me worrying. I would recommend this case highly to anyone looking to purchase protection for their new Ipad. Also try keeping this in your cart with Amazon as the seller and watch for a price drop. Amazon last week for a short time dropped the price to $30.99 which is when I purchased it. If they did it before maybe they will do it again.

1st Customer Review : Great case very much like otterbox!
I love this case, and get compliments on it all the time and have only had it a week. The inside layer is pink and hard, the outer case is silicone and is zebra. It also has a built in clear cover over the screen and the apple sign and picture spot on the back. I feel it will protect my phone in case it falls. It came with a free screen protector, but I don't think I even really needed it. I have heard that these type of cases, should be periodically taken out of the silicone to "cool" off, not that I have noticed it being hot. I'm ordering another for my daughter.

1st Customer Review : gets the job done
I have always used Otterbox products but after having the silicone torn on my previous defender case, I opted to buy something comparable... but much cheaper. I found this case and noticed it didn't look much different (only small differences) from my Otterbox Defender and had very good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I received the item three days before the expected delivery date which made me very happy. I put my iPhone 4 into the case and have not had one issue. It fits perfectly and feels sturdy in hand. I have been asked a couple of times where I found this Otterbox and people are surprised to learn that this is not an Otterbox. My advice is to save your money unless absolutely necessary. I am an Otterbox faithful when it comes to my phone and this has done just as well.

2nd Customer Review : Good Case
I got this case a week early - (bonus!!!) It only took about 5 seconds to use a knife to fix the sensor issue on the front. There is still a tiny haze on the pictures using the flash. MUCH better than the white plastic with pink. For a five second fix, I will take it even with the flash issue. If it protects my $500 phone, I will take it! Especially for $5.00

Great buy! I gave it four stars because of the flash issue. If it was fixable, I would give it five stars...even if I had to fix it myself!

Got my first Iphone - so needed a case. Friend gave me an Otterbox skin that he got in the mail (without having an Iphone) - but I wanted my favorite color. This is just as good. Maybe not quite as "smooth" in fit - but contrary to some reviews...I dropped this phone running on my horse (as in horsebackriding) and it protected my phone just fine. $5.00 vs $25+....this is a no brainer!

1st Customer Review : Great for Running
I received the TuneBand and thought the instructions very clear. Once the iPhone 4 was inserted in the case, it felt very secure. I also thought the case looked nice enough that I removed the strap and kept the phone in it for the rest of the day. The strap fit me well and I was impressed to see that the company can provide a longer or short strap if required.

Initially I placed the device on the side of my upper arm but then shifted it to the front of my upper arm to give the GPS better view of the sky. I also started with the device strapped around my shirt sleeve. Eventually I attached the device directly to my upper arm and covered the device with my sleeve. I don't think any of these changes really affected the quality of the GPS signal. I'd definitely recommend attaching the strap directly to your arm and not over the shirt.

As for the performance of the device, it couldn't be better. I've logged about 75 miles running over the past couple weeks and...

Overall Use:
Ran with this for about 1 month several times a week. Works great. The screen is exposed which is what I liked the most...I hate having to fiddle with plastic coverings. Even the home button is open so you can touch the actual button...sweet.

Size/Fitting:
Perfect Velcro strap for all sizes. My wife has used this as well with much smaller arms. I have an above average sized arm (as long as I am going to the gym regularly) and it still works great. In the package it says that if the band doesn't fit they will send another one to match your arm size...that's what I call service-but it should fit unless your 40lbs or on steroids.

Sweat/Moisture:
None, I sweat like a crazy person sometimes and I never had issues or sweat get on the phone.

Material Strength:
Soft and flexible yet very strong. I have been running pretty hard at times with this arm band and never experienced issues. It holds the phone secure, very well. I...
3rd Customer Review : UPDATED Good first couple of times then lots of chaffing
Unfortunately this didn't work out for me - while running for longer than 1/2 hour at a time I experienced really bad chaffing/blisters where the band attached on my arm - it did this whether I put it over clothing or directly on my arm. This product is not for me. A week later, I still have a sore, blistered spot on my arm that is so painful. Was not impressed with the fit on my iPhone either - not that great.

Update - I've been using it on my wrist recently and that works better for me. However, I just wanted to mention that this company contacted me immediately after writing the above to offer a refund. So GREAT customer service - very impressed by the seller - highly recommended as they really seem to care about their customers and whether they are happy with the product or not.

1st Customer Review : Excellent! Works for iPhone 4S for Verizon
I ordered this product, and then read the reviews. After reading the reviews, I was convinced that this would not fit my iPhone 4S for Verizon. Well, I was wrong. It fits perfectly. All of the buttonsare functional and within reach, it doesn't block the camera, and it DID come with the two free screensavers, which were easy to apply and virtually impossible to detect. The case itself is lightweight and isn't bulky at all. I recived this yesterday, and already dropped it this morning. My phone was protected! Good thing because I just got the phone last week and this morning was my first drop. I would have been devestated if my phone was injured. Not sure if this makes a difference or not (maybe different suppliers carry different versions of this product), but the seller was Eforcity.

I just received these cases today, and I like them a lot. I have the iPhone 4 on Sprint.

PROS: Very pretty, simple, lightweight, inexpensive. They fit on the phone fine without covering buttons or anything. I used to have one of those rhinestoned cases for a big Android phone, and it was WAY too heavy + bulky. These, however, are perfect considering the back is flat and it still gives off a mirrory shimmer without being excessive. Also, having the extra cases and screen protectors are a nice precaution, and it's not difficult to pull the case off of the phone if you want to change them out. I haven't tried the screen protectors as I already had one.

CONS: It's not as durable as carbon fiber or Otterbox. Because they're simple plastic cases like you'd get at a kiosk from the mall, they'll still protect from fingerprints (w/ screen protector) and minor scratches, but won't protect the front screen from being damaged if you drop it. 3rd Customer Review : Great Bling!
These glitter cases were a great deal. I wanted a silver cover for my phone for a fancy event but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I figured for the price, even if I was only able to use it once it was still a bargain. I've used all of these covers repeatedly! They fit the phone extremely well, the slimness of the phone is still there unlike many of the other jeweled cases which make it bulkier.

They snap on very tightly, which is good, but it does make them a little difficult to take off. I've found a trick by putting my thumb nail in the power slot and can pop the case right off.

They were shipped very quickly and I like the cases a lot. For the money, you can't go wrong.
