While it HOLDS the phone as I've researched, the bottom portion of the stand, even when moved covers the speaker output of the bottom of the phone. If you had GPS, music going AND the charger plugged in it will not fit as I, personally think it should. It would be better suited for an iPhone 4(s), etc. It's too bad, I had high hopes for this purchase. Sending back to Amazon. Buyer Beware!

UPDATE: After contacting iOttie's Customer Service directly, they were EXTREMELY understanding, helpful and provided an explanation. At this time (10/26/12) the company is not going to take "iPhone 5" out of the product's description as I think they should as it could be misleading to consumers, as they believe "customers can flip around the mount so that the AUX/ Headphone jack will not be covered." I tried this, and it simply doesn't work; the phone just slips out, AND the covers up the sleep/wake button. At this time, they are telling me that this product better suits the iPhone 5:

This company's customer service is impeccable (as you can see they personally reply to each negative review) and pointed me in the right direction. I hope my review points other consumers into the same direction first without going through the hassle of buying this mount first for their iPhone 5.

UPDATE 2: The company still has not changed the description, so based on other consumers potentially being mis-lead like I was, I am bringing it back to a "1 star" rating. C'mon - IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IPHONE 5. The other reviewers (rating this product high) must not be using both a charging cable AND speaker cable.
