1st Customer Review : Excellent Case (From A Prior Speck Candyshell User)
Just received this case. Prior to using this, I was a big fan of the Speck Candyshell for my iPhone 3GS which gave great protection with minimum bulk. When I bought got my iPhone 4S, I naturally bought a Speck Candyshell. I was disappointed that Speck made the bottom part of the case near the dock connector port very thick and more narrow in prior models, which disabled my ability to dock my phone or use many third-party chargers. It also seemed bulkier. I then tried a Griffin Elan case, but felt it was too slippery and thin and did not have enough to it to absorb impact should I drop my 4S. It also gave me flash wash-out if I took photos with my phone rotated to the left instead of the right. So I searched for a case that would be more similar to the Speck protection-wise and "dockable" and provide minimal bulk.

2nd Customer Review : It Saved My Phone
The case fits snuggly with my 4S. I accidentally knocked my phone off of a kitchen countertop onto a hard tile floor--a 4 foot fall. It landed face down, but there was no damage to the phone or case. The beveled lip around the front of the screen kept it from making contact with the floor. This Case-Mate has already paid for itself.
3rd Customer Review : Awesome Tough Case
I normally do not take the time to write product reviews, but after tonight I feel compelled to. I have the ase for about two weeks and love the feel of it, the rubber texture is very easy to grip. But the case is so much tougher then I could have ever imagined, I was at a high school basketball game tonight, sitting on he very top bench when low and behold the lady next to me slides over and knocks my phone through the bleachers and landed some 30 feet below, I was sick to my stomach as I made my way down underneath the bleachers. Upon arrival I was totally shocked the iPhone 4s didn't even have a single scratch on it and it works absolutely perfect, the double sleeve protection is what saved my phone, I would imagine that they never even tested falls from these heights. I am totally pleased and would recommend this case to anyone.
