1st Customer Review : A Great iPhone Charging Solution
My wife and I have iPhones and each night we end up either looking for our chargers, or trying to beat one another to the one charger that happens to be closest and plugged in. I found this dual charging device and decided to go ahead and get it. I have to say it's been perfect. We set up the charger in a convenient spot and now we plop our phones into one dual dock and everything is tidy and the phones are charged. They stand up, so are easily viewable from across the room when a call or a text comes in. The other great feature is that we can both leave our phones in our cases and they plug into the dock fine. Most other docks I've had have required removing the case to allow the phone to seat properly. Not the case with this one. It comes with a whole slew of different adapters to provide the best fit for your phone or iPod, but we didn't need any of them. Also, the photos show a blue light around the dock. 2nd Customer Review : Not Adaptable
Unfortunately, it may be a great product, however, it would not accomodate the iphone with a "Otter Box" protective cover. I did not want to remove the otter box each night to charge the phone. I therefore, sent it back.
3rd Customer Review : Pretty good dock, just be aware it doesn't sync
Decent charger dock. I've only used it for my iPhone 3G - haven't fitted it for my iPods yet. You gotta push down a bit to get it to make contact between the charging elements even though the base lights up as soon as it's engaged. Meaning that you slightly make contact and the base will light up, but you've got to push down a little harder before it actually charges. I didn't know this at first and had it sitting in there, not charging, for a little while.
One thing I will note is that I found this dock (decent design, good review, decent price) and purchased it while shopping for a dock to SYNC with my computer. Then I pulled it out of the box and couldn't find the USB port. That's because it doesn't sync with your computer - it just plugs into the wall and chargers. Sure, that's my fault for not scouring the description, but I thought that "iPhone dock" was sufficient search parameters.
So, be advised, this is a CHARGER dock, not a SYNC dock.
