1st Customer Review : No case is worth $50, but....
I've tried several different cases for my iPhone 4S: this one, a Ballistic SG, Switcheasy Trim and a cheap Chinese TPU case.
First off, no case is truly worth $50, or $40, or $30, or $20, or...you know where I'm going with this, right? After spending some money for R&D, actual production of all these types of cases probably ranges pennies on the dollar. I mean, the margins on these things are HUGE!
Having said that it's hard to justify spending so much money on this case. But, I'm not writing this to justify your purchase. I'm writing this to mention the merits of this case.
It's a nice, flexible TPU polymer with a carbon fiber back. It looks good, feels nice, has "grips" on the sides to give you a better feel and, I suspect, will actually protect the iPhone from damage if you happen to accidentally drop it.
It doesn't feel rubbery and sticky like cheap silicone cases. And, it actually slides in and out of your pocket with ease. It...

2nd Customer Review : Form Should Always Follow Function... except when Form IS Functional.

It's been said that form should always follow function, however in this "case" they seem to be holding hands across the finish line.
Here's my 1 minute pitch for why you should buy this case:
1. TPU polymer (Higher Grade Shock Resistant plastic ) - Tougher than the cheaper silicon grade, but not hard and brittle like what they use on the shell casings for commercial hardware (desktop cases, game consoles, etc). Think G-Shock Watch material. Flexible, but just the right amount of rigidity.
2. I've dropped this case like 10 times already. I cant say it's as drop-proof as some of the high impact fully encased brands like otterbox or lifeproof, but then again you see how these start to put precedence of function...
3rd Customer Review : Great Case
I've spent more on cases for my 4S than on the phone itself and this is the best combination of looks and protection that I've tried, yet. I started out with a Rokform Rokbed v2(no longer available) all-aluminum case(three of them: black, gunmetal and green) and I still think the Rokbed v2 is the best looking, coolest iPhone case out there. It just had that "IT" factor and it complemented the design of the 4/4S perfectly, BUT it killed the signal. Everyone that I knew that had one complained about the signal loss(on AT&T, Verizon and wifi). I then tried an Atomic Hybrid case(composite material with a single aluminum side). The pics on their site look good, but when it's actually on your phone, it makes your iPhone look like, well... I didn't leave it on long. Rokbed then came out with a polycarbonate(plastic) version. It looked about the same as the v2 from the front and didn't hurt the signal, but the back was UGLY and big and just looked cheap compared to the aluminum...
