1st Customer Review : The most protective iPhone case. Period.
This case is great! I've tried a few and this is the best! Here is a list of pros and cons:
PROS:
-This case is extremely protective. I've dropped it already, and my iPhone was not affected. A friend of mine also has this case, and he's never damaged it even though he's dropped it many times as well. It's basically an insurance policy on your very expensive and precious iPhone.
-Easy to hold onto: the silicon or rubber outer case doesn't slip out of your hand easily.
-Plugs are great: there are plugs that cover the earphone hole, the silent mode on/off switch, and the charging port. These fit really well and are easy to disengage. The button covers for the volume and sleep switch work great too.
***DISCLAIMER: the plug at the top of the iPhone has a hole in it. This is for the microphone at the top of the phone, not the earphone jack.***

2nd Customer Review : Does what it was designed to do, remarkably well.
Bought it. Put my phone in it. Dropped it. Dropped it again. Feel out of car. And so on...
My wife calls me "An ox in a china shop" (I assume she did not see the Myth Busters show where that saying was busted). I don't want to make two trips and I want to go in a straight line. Of course this causes my phone a lot of heartache. My Iphone 4s is thankful everyday for the Otterbox Defender Case. I have gone through many cell phones and a couple of Ipads all without a scratch because of the durability of these cases. The day I order my electronic device is the same day I order my Otterbox. I have never been disappointed.
3rd Customer Review : Great protection
I bought this Otterbox case thinking I might replace my iPhone 4 for the 4S and for protection from drops. Boy, did I find out it works! I tripped over a broken tile at a convention (just walking) and fell forward. I had the phone in my hand (not in the holster) but wasn't using it and it flew about 20 ft. away and hit the same concrete I did. The Otterbox was in bad shape, the clear plastic broke off the case at the bottom but stayed on the upper part. The rubber twisted off a bit and the front rubber was scratched up but my husband took it apart to check the phone and there was absolutely no damage to my phone. He put it back together while I was at the hospital getting my hands, arms and legs cleaned up and bandaged and while the clear plastic and rubber case doesn't look as pretty, my iPhone is safe. I'll eventually replace the case for the same one but until I do, it's fine. While there are a few minor things that bother me about it (like the level of difficulty getting it off...
