1st Customer Review : A better choice than the Defender Series for most.
In typical Otterbox fashion the case looks good and genuinely feels "one" with the phone once it's put on. The buttons all work well but the flip-up port covers can be a bit irritating as they don't slip very easily back into place. I prefer the Otterbox Commuter case and its hard, plastic exterior versus the Defender's silicone exterior because it's easier to slip into and out of your pocket. Also, the Commuter case seems just as protective as the Defender case. The Defender comes with a built-in screen protector if that's what you're into. When I owned the Defender case I ended up removing the screen protector because it trapped moisture and dust. The Razr's have Gorilla Glass so I find that a screen protector's a bit excessive. I think that the only reason one should get the Defender case is if you're really into holsters. A holster is included with the Defender case but not with the Commuter case.

2nd Customer Review : What a case should be
After having issues with the Droid X series Commuter case fitting too loosely around the screen, I had not tried a Commuter since. When purchasing my Droid Razr Maxx however, I asked the salesman what case he was using on his. He showed me his Maxx in a Commuter and I came straight home and ordered one.
Not a fan usually of secondary sales but the One Stop Cell Shop actually outdid Amazon! Paid for standard shipping and it went from order placement to in my hands in 2 days. Well done One Stop!
The lines and thought that has always gone into the Otterbox series has always been impressive. The one feature I like most about the Razr Maxx version may not appeal to all. It fits like a second skin. With a non-removable battery, that isn't a big deal though as access for cleaning will be greatly diminished by the skin-tight fit.
Fitting so snuggly means it is a pain in the behind to get properly seated into the polycarbonate shell though. Once complete though...
3rd Customer Review : My first Otterbox...
I recently purchased the Droid Razr Maxx. Along with the phone I picked up the "High Gloss Silicone Cover" sold at the Verizon store. It provided decent protection, but I wanted something a little more substantial. Today my new Otterbox Commuter arrived. Easy to install and provides a very snug fit. Looks and feels like it came molded together this way from Motorola. Like others have said, it makes the side buttons much easier to activate. The plastic on the back is a bit too smooth, so it feels slippery. But I'm getting used to it and it's very easy to get in and out of your pants front pocket. I didn't use the screen protector since I had already installed a Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal protector on my phone. The Otterbox was hard to find, but worth the wait.
