1st Customer Review : Solid protection, moderately slim and lightweight
Bottom line: The Otterbox Commuter case is great protection for your iPhone 5 investment. And it's sleeker and lighter than the negative reviews might lead you to believe.
My highest priority was to protect this $400 gadget from damage. I also have preschoolers who are additional risks to anything fragile! Check.
At the same time, I wanted something with good design that would fit unobtrusively in my pants or shirt pocket. Check and check.
Also wanted materials that are durable. Time will tell, but my initial analysis indicates check.
FYI, I compared to the Otterbox Defender, which offers more protection, but is bulkier and more noticeable in my pocket. Also compared it to several different Speck cases, which appeared to offer similar protection at the same price, but did not come with a screen protector. Plus, the Otterbox color combinations, from black/white to lime green/navy, accommodate a range of tastes.

2nd Customer Review : I really like it!
I was a little hesitant to order this when I read other reviews. But overall, I really like it and I'm glad I picked this one!!
- I see what people are talking about with the edges being a little high and I suppose that could get in the way of typing. I don't really notice it though. I had a defender case on my old iphone 4 so if anything, I find this case to be a lot easier to type with.
-The screen protection that it comes with is NOT built into the case. I did not know this when I ordered it but I like it. It makes it much easier to use because it is the sticker type screen protector. Again, I was used to the defender built in protector so I guess this could be a negative for some people, but I am happy with it.
-The new rubber material is great! It feels a lot stronger than previous otterbox models. It is also smoother.
-I like the plastic being on the outside of this case vs the defender series!

3rd Customer Review : Ehhhhh!
First of all. i got the case damaged from the seller. The case looks amazing, just like the pictures. But when I went to go put it on my iPhone, silicone case attaches perfectly. The problem starts when you try to attach that case to the plastic exterior case. I was struggling with for ten minutes till I gave. The ports line up Nicely but the lock button is covered by the silicone and would budge into position when I tried to put I. The plastic part. The bottom of case doesn't fit exactly either. I already had a different screensaver on my phone and this case started peeling it off at the edges while I was tryin to attach it. Overall it's a legit case.
