1st Customer Review : Streamline and Soldier Ready....
**I'm serve in the United States Military. Therefore I need a case that easily slips in and out of my pockets. But most importantly, I needed a case that was pretty tough. I chose this case because: #1-it has a Very nice rubberized casing that fits over the entire phone(minus a few notch cut outs which I reference in the second paragraph) in which #2- is backed by a hard candy shell. The 10/ 11 o'clock and the 4/ 5 o'clock on my phone are NOT covered with the hard candy shell. However, again, it Is covered by the form fitting, butyl rubber which would Definitely protect those corners should the phone ever drop.
This case is top notch! It covers all ports and holes(except for the camera, flash, speaker, and phone receiver which, by the way, in My opinion, are Not supposed to be covered anyway). 2nd Customer Review : Great protection for the Rezound
I disagree with some of the comments said about this case. First of all, mine had all of the cutouts, including the one for the sound-cancelling mic. The quality of both the silicone and plastic is great and the fit is perfect. When you slide the plastic over the silicone, be sure to pull on some of the tabs so it fits tightly. Otherwise, you may have gaps between the two pieces and it won't look very good. The buttons for the volume and power are extended a bit, actually making it easier to push the buttons than when not using the case.
Some dislike the fact that the plastic backing is slippery. The website states this was designed for slipping in and out of pockets and bags easily, and it does just that. I can put it in my pocket and take it out without worrying about it snagging. If you are holding the phone correctly, it won't slip out. Part of my hand is always on some of the silicone, so I can't see it slipping out.
The look of the case is great...
3rd Customer Review : The best compromise between bulk and protection
FYI - I have already had two Otterbox cases and have made my wife get one for her phone as well:
Droid Incredible - Otterbox Defender case
Dell Streak 7 - Otterbox Commuter case
iPhone 4S (wife) - Otterbox Defender case
I started with a Commuter for my Dell Streak 7 - have been extremely happy with it.
Got a Defender afterward, for my Droid Incredible. Very happy with it, but there were a few issues. 1) Very bulky; 2) There wasn't an adhesive screen protector. The Defender screen protector is a part of the case and, as such, often allowed dirt, lint & grime under the screen protector and reduced touch sensitivity. The Defender case also was so bulky that I could not get touch input to the edges of the screen, which would affect my ability to pull down the notifications screen on my DInc.
Got the Defender for my wife because she literally drops her phone every day, and she paid nearly retail for the iPhone 4S to replace a broken...
