The case is substantial so is a good protection for a dropped phone. It does add bulk but every inch of the phone is covered including the screen. I had tried other covers and was not satisfied but this one was excellent for me. It is not a thin plastic that in itself would crack. The colors are bright enough that when I drop it in my purse I can easily find it. THe price is also reasonable. THere is a belt clip which I don't need. Have not used the case or the shield but put the car charger in my car. THe travel charger has a nice long cord.
