1st Customer Review : Very good case - does fit the 4s (both Verizon and AT&T) appropriately.
I bought this case for my brand new AT&T iphone 4S (white). My BF has the Verizon version, and the case fits both. I was a little worried when I ordered it because one review said the headphone jack hole was in the wrong place and that it actually isn't for the 4S after all. That is not true.
There is a hole at the top of the case - for the microphone. The headphone jack is appropriately covered with a flap to avoid introducing dust and debris into the hole when it is not in use. All of the other holes, buttons, flaps, etc line up as you would expect. The buttons can be pressed easily through the raised portions of the case and the flaps can be opened and closed without issue, once you learn where they all are. = )
The description and picture don't really do the case justice. The blue plastic is a vibrant ocean blue (nearly teal), the purple is a dark purple, but not quite plum or eggplant. It looks great with my white iphone, but also looked great with my...

2nd Customer Review : An In-depth Comparision: Defender vs. Commuter
Protecting a $200 phone is quite a formidable task and a lot of cell phone case companies do not seem to understand protection. They strive for style, design, and aesthetics. To me, this is all nonsense. Otterbox understands the principle of protection better than any other company making these types of products. Fuction is what I am looking for and and this company produces fuctioning cell phone cases. These 4S generation cases share an improved design, mainly with the camera area. I think people were complaining about shadowed pictures and video due to the tight camera cut out. They widened it to ensure the new 8MP camera with not be hindered by a design flaw.
First, the defender technically provides more protection than the commuter and also comes with a handy holster with a clip. 3rd Customer Review : Impressed!
I purchased this for my teenage daughter for her Verizon iPhone 4. She loved the colors and they are exactly as they appear in the picture. We are very pleased with the fit, color, feel and protection the Otterbox Defender provides. I was concerned if it would fit the Verizon iPhone 4 properly, but it was perfect! I also purchased the same case in different colors for myself, wife and son (he loves his Cammo Blaze cover). While the cases do add a bit of bulk, it still fits in the front and back of pants' pockets (except now I don't worry about it falling out because if it does it's well protected). We also like the clip-on case that came with each cover. I would definitely recommend this case for any Verizon iPhone 4 users.
